I won’t even comment on the fact that he was using a conventional cell phone a few days ago, nor the fact that Mrs. D’buckworth’s head is again on backwards.
Mrs. 3D has the unusual ability to swivel her head 360 degrees! Love the new windows in the mansion! Maybe Tracy’s been called to the morgue where we’ll see the sign Sydney predicted!
Panel 3: Tracy is saying “What? Where?” because he can’t figure out how to answer his wrist radio because it’s been so long since he’s used it.
“What is this thing?”
“Where is the answer button?”
I see the mansion has morphed into Dr. Strange’s Greenwich Village sanctum sanctorum.
I think I’ve figured this out. The beggar on the street is really Mrs. D. The “woman” Dick is questioning is really Mr. D. So how long will this story “drag” on?
On 7/26 D’buckworth had been missing for three days and Special Forces was on the case. On 8/1, however, we learn that D’buckworth was missing for a full week before anybody bothered to contact the police.
At this point, Dick speculates that D’buckworth might have gone off on his own or gone to Washington or something, ‘cause hey, millionaires are quirky and unpredictable.
It’s like he’s trying to find an excuse for the D’buckworth family, anything to avoid acting like a detective and saying, “Mrs D’buckworth, why did you wait so long to call the police?”
The police learn about it through the local newspaper. Maybe The National Enquirer ought to be required reading for Naperville’s finest. Sure beats a daily roll call and briefing. LOL @ Macy looking at his wrist genie, wondering what it is.
Danger causes blinding fear in Tracy and he forgets he has a wrist radio. What he needs is a big red panic button sewed to his forehead so when danger strikes, all he has to do is pound his head to summon help.
OK, I finally overloaded. Mr. Locher, it is hereby REQUIRED that you spend a day with an actual police detective. You haven’t got a clue about that kind of work and it shows. If you had a clue, you’d know there’s no way Tracy could have ever gotten out of his first day at the academy the way you write him. For that matter, the whole Napperville police department couldn’t catch a cold, much less a criminal.
Just don’t spend the day with a Lake County detective. We just had a story come out of there where they just released a guy FIVE YEARS after DNA evidence proved he didn’t dood it. Seems bad police and prosecution work is contagious, one way or another.
Hey, Michael! WE just released one who we had jailed for 27 years and the DNA didn’t match, either! And they didn’t offer him a dime in restitution! I’d say, “Pick a bank; ANY bank; go rob it and we’re even!”
O.K., so I do not read this comic, but for some reason today I decided to see what the comments were saying and according to what you all have written, this comic blows; so that leaves me with two questions:

Nice house and all, but it’s too darned neat. Better ask that Phantom guy to come over and punch out some walls. That’ll spruce things up.

When you are rich, you can afford to buy the ultimate in snobby windows with the glass rounded on the outside and rectangular on the inside.

isn’t that a two-way wrist radio?

Back at the science museum, the cops were required to turn off their 2 way wrist thingies so the ringing wouldn’t interrupt the play.

1) Why is this still in print?
2) Why do you bother, let alone leave a comment?!
