Luckily Wally is too mentally occupied to pick up that slip.Whilst I agree with Wally that it isn’t probably lethal, whatever door this is does seem to be a one way.
Why do birds… suddenly appear… whenever you are near? Oh, wait, it’s just because you have one holding onto your neck since you started climbing Mt. Boat. Question retracted.
The last time Marx used an invisible door, it was to connect his favorite incarnation of Endtown to the ground zero point of an incoming missile. No reason to expect that he’d change the exit point this late in the game.
Yeah, it could have been an Aaron Marx portal, but I’d be surprised if it led back to Endtown.Marx engineered Jacob’s little “Milk Trial” for some reason, and I doubt it was for love of bunny. It is somewhat probable that he did this to drive Holly & Wally out of Endtown, maybe to get the duo to go after whomever was “…stealing all the shoes…”. It may be that the portal was created by Aaron to lead them to where they need to go.It may also be that the portal belongs to the ship (or its masters) and is doing this to its own ends. The only thing I’m reasonably sure of is that the Topsiders are not involved. Their plots seem to be fairly direct in nature. I don’t think they could think in terms of a high tech ship stuck into the dust like a lawn dart. This is too elaborate for them.
I’m not surprised at all that Kirbee loves Wally, he is quite the cat.Brave and caring, and resourceful too.And she is feeling unrequited love as long as Wally loves Holly and Holly is around.I’m glad that Kirbee isn’t a sneaky type to try to Holly gone. She is too honest for that and and her youth speaks truth in her.
And there’s no body left behind so obviously Holly went through some kind of transition. Wally was an engineer so he sees the logic in a transition existing.
Wally cares for Holly and is loyal to her. But he is very mechanical in his way of thinking, and her emotional needs are currently way beyond his interpersonal emotional communication skills. He wants to help her, but he’s overwhelmed by what he sees as the enormity of the task involved. It doesn’t help that they rarely have a quiet, comfortable and undisturbed occasion for a heart-to-heart. The trouble with Wally is when there’s NOT a crisis, his relationship maintenance light goes out, and he gets a blind spot for giving emotional support. Remember the blind spot he had for the mess in Holly’s place while she was in prison during the Milk Trial? Well, there would have been opportunities more recently, in the ditto transport for example, for him to talk long and compassionately with Holly (who is suffering severe depression). But to date, he hasn’t taken this as far as he could.Wally is not a perfect hero. None of the characters is.
Dunno, Marx always struck me as The Doctor type, only not named The Doctor because of copyrights. And if this theory is correct and Mr. Neathery made Marx after The Doctor, Milk Trail Marx and Opabinia Queen Marx could be very same Marx.
The Doctor did some questionable things for the greater good too (even “controlling population” of Daleks, a.k.a. genocide) and also never was happy about that.
Plus angry Doctor (esp. 10th and 11th) behaves pretty much like angry Marx (post Milk Trail) – he does what he does for the greater good, isn’t happy about that and if you overstay your welcome, god help you.

How’s this for a weird idea. Holly is in Endtown with Marx! Yeah, I know. That would be too quick and easy!

And the other shoe drops, Kirby is definitely the better mate in this world, sorry but Holly has gone off to the crazy side and is just a liability.

I don’t think Wally missed Kirbee’s slip, but he doesn’t have time to deal with that right now.

Maybe she meant to say the “like” word, not the other one?
Wonderin’ if Holly still loves Wally, either way.

I’m thinking the dittoes are preparing some kind of “replay of your life” for Holly. We saw Wally’s replay, maybe now it’s Holly’s turn.

I would love to see all of these characters in their human forms. Does anyone have a link for at least Wally and Holly? TIA!

Actually, no – even god couldn’t help you.
