What really happens all too often….I find it in the first place I look, but only after I don’t look close enough the first time and then look all over God’s green acre and still can’t find it. Then I go back to the first place I looked and look more carefully only to find it.
the worst is not realizing it’s missing till after the battery’s dead and you can’t call it to expedite your search.used to happen sometimes with the portable phone at work.

I just use the landline or someone else’s phone to call myself and follow the ring tone.

I would go mental if I lost my phone. So would my parents! I’m thinking about writing down the IMEI number to lock the phone when it’s lost.

And sometimes you never find them at all, like they disappear into some 4th dimension. That or maybe the cat hid them.
