I don’t think it’s Cathy in undies that’s horrifying Lio’s dad so much as the creeping infestation of insipidity that is embodied in the very existence of Cathy, and her devoted fans.

If she and Ziggy got married, they’d give birth to The Family Circus. And their pets would be Garfield and Marmaduke.

And then I would have to poke out my eyes with a shrimp fork.

@ChukLitl Just in case you’re serious, the law firm of Dewey, Cheetum and Howe is a famous one in cartoons. I think I first saw them in a Bugs Bunny short, and they also appear on NPR’s “Click & Clack - The Tappet Brothers”. (Sound out the name of the firm…)
