This drawings in this arc do not look like the real early Peanuts drawings….must have been much later.

Horrid! But fascinating.

The adults have heads and faces now. Well, blank faces.

Really anomalous for a Peanuts.

So much for the idea of managing a golfer, CB…

That smile on Charlie Brown in the second panel…did he smile any broader…WOAH!

I thought I had seen all the early “Peanuts” in paperback collections we had when I was a kid. But this Sunday arc has been fascinating. I had never seen it before. And the uniqueness of this arc was great, too. I like watching Schulz experiment and grow as he rises in popularity on his way to the top.

So, Mother wasn’t aware that Lucy was participating in this tournament?

In the third panel we get a glimpse of how talented an artist Schulz was, which was often overlooked because he used such a minimalist style for most of the run of Peanuts.

Umm, mom wasn’t there?

Really nice artwork. Look at it all. You see depth and everything. Something he did away with (sadly) when he paired it down to his minimum.
