Linguist, I have to differ, PR people are spinning nasty facts into rainbows and butterflies multiple times every day. Whether it’s to turn junk we don’t need into something we have to have(bottled water is an excellent example, more bottled water is now being sold in the US than soda pop) or a visit to the aptly named spin room after political debates, every single day we have people turning sows ears into silk purses, which millions of us then buy into.From the millions who watch and believe every word told them by Fox News, to the football fans who buy into whatever Jerry Jones says about how the Cowboys are going to win the super bowl.For football fans the only thing that matters is winning the super bowl. If the Pats player who got nailed for murder could play again, there are fans who would be more than ready to believe whatever the spinners tell them
Did the Cowpokes cut him? If they did, color me surprised. Jerry Jones doesn’t give a rat’s behind about such ephemeral qualities as “character” and “decency”. As long as they can play productively, he’s interested.
