This is so true. Folks who have never shot a gun have no idea. I’ve seen YouTube posts of people bashing themselves in the nose or forehead from the recoil. I nearly dislocated a shoulder the first time I shot a 12-guage shotgun (my “friend” had snuck in a 3" mag shell). Which is why I crack up when I watch a Hollywood movie and see some guy with a pistol-grip shotgun in each hand taking out the bad guys. Bwahahahahaa. His wrists would be in his elbows.
Unless the gun has anti-recoil built in, the shooter better be prepared for a rude surprise. The last panel is hilarious, with the pistol embedded in his helmet.
Nighty-night, Hodge-Podge. Sorry about the kick in the head. Mr. Dallas ought to have taught you more about firearms use and also should have given you a smaller, easier-to-handle gun….

The last panel is a classic illustration on why you need to wear your PPE.

Reminds me of that scene in The Three Amigos where Martin Short shoots this humungous gun and it kicks him back thirty feet to a wall.

Thirty five years later and this cartoon strip still cracks me up. That pistol embedded in the helmet is just a scream!

Why am I not surprised Steve’s doomsday bunker has a bar in it?
