Steve reminds me of some of the students who lived on my floor of my college dorm back in the mid ’80s (about the same time this strip came out for the first time) when they partied a little too hard with the hookah along with some beer and got a serious case of the munchies on the weekend or after a serious party. No wonder so many of us succumbed to that “freshman 15”!
I remember when my Dad quit. For the first time in 25 years, he missed work with the flu. He tried to smoke but it hurt his throat so bad that he just said “I’m done smoking”. We all kind of laughed and said “sure, Dad”. But he did it, cold turkey, although he had some help with mints, something to use as a substitute. Still surprises me, given how hard it is to quit.
Oh, no! Steve-o has overdosed on Twinkies and pickles, along with “Tryscutz” [trademark issue!] and Dog Chow (?). And he’s got the belly to prove it. He seems to be in a melatonin coma….

He’ll need an antidote to junk food addiction.

I dunno if that is a safe solution. Put him on a diet of Twinkies and he might become a psychopathic assassin.
