replace “songs” with Tic Tok and you could run this strip today and I’m sure in another decade it will just as applicable to some other complaint. And yes Steve certainly nailed it.
Those hearing were utterly moronic. Those stupid warning stickers just drew attention to the albums that those old biddies were trying to ban. I managed a record store at the time and and any record that had the sticker sold like hotcakes. We actually got a few stickers and put them on tame records, Lawrence Welk, Pat Boone etc. And kids bought them. True story.
many years ago , when south park was just getting started they covered this. The parents were upset at what was on TV that their kids watch so ALL went off to DC to protest, leaving the kids alone back in colorado where they were literally chased by death.
so.. let me get this straight… attempting to raise kids in a GOOD environment.. leads to teen prostitution, teen pregnancy, drug use, cults, teens running away, and suicide? (poor hygiene is everywhere) ..cause that’s what Steve is saying.

Blame Canada!
Shame on Canada
For… the sumt we must stop
The trash we must smash
The laughter and fun
Must all be undone
We must blame them and cause a fuss
Before someone thinks of blaming us!
