What comes to mind is part of an episode of the Golden Girls. Blanche made some comment about poor “Miss Christie Brinkley” being married to that “Bug-eyed man”
I know the feeling Opus. I’ve always appreciated the fact even though I never understood why that my bride picked me, a man who looked like a bulldog all those many years ago.
Is it really that unusual or note worthy that an attractive person might prefer a mate based on their personality rather than their looks? There are a lot of kind hearted, intelligent, beautiful people out there. Love often finds a way.

Syndrome-me-not! Yet, truth is, Opus has got his situation squarely identified. It’s one of the great mysteries of the Universe….

Money and/or status might be a factor.
