I have been told a weed is anything growing in your yard you don’t want. By that definition, even a rose could be a weed if one popped up in your yard. (not likely)

Sportymonk, I have wild roses growing from my neighbour’s yard into parts of my yard where they are not wanted. So yes, roses can be weeds.

I love the dandelions and wild violets than grow in my yard. Very pretty…
