If that is Holly’s purse, and therefore her Buddibomb, where did it come from? Surely she hadn’t been carrying it with her through all of the ordeal she has suffered.

I hope we do have a swashed diner person so the Buddi bomb will have someone else to go after and they people will know what a monster really is.

I decided that I could afford to give a few dollars on Patreon. Aaron was my first choice. It’s not much, but I’m sure every little bit adds up.

There’s a lot of people in a cafe’. The purse could be anyone’s and given the fact the jingle is so popular, anyone could have one. But if Holly is like many women, grabbing a purse before you run could be second nature so there’s a slim possibliity that it’s Holly’s last BB.

Monsters DID do this, but the monsters were all too human. As we see repeated all over this world of ours.

Looks like the purse is by an overturned table, so I’m betting it’s not Holly’s.

Holly’s purse was ripped through by her BuddiBombs and she did not run out of Ethel’s house with it. This is a café patrons purse.

Buddibombs to the rescue!!!Remember these bombs detect threats. If that crowd goes hostile towards Holly and Doc Chase…..the crowd will be targeted. Holly and Doc are not “Bad”. Lin was targeted because he was full monster, they are homicidal by nature so “Bad”. Ethel saw Holly’s fear as making her hungry…so “Bad”.The man just called Holly and Doc monsters…..so kill all monsters??The buddibomb has its target…..the crowd is “Bad”.

We know both Holly and Doc Chase survived to tell…but, alas, we don’t know if the script of this play actually follows the events of their lives, or if there are alterations.

Even one buddibomb is bad news. And that’s mostly likely not Holly’s purse. I hope Doc wakes up fast, because they’re going to need to run.

I still feel bad for Lyn. Totally expected something else to happen to him and Aaron pulled a total unexpected left turn. Definitely good writing.

As for that purse- I’m gonna say not Holly’s. She did say at the baby shower that they were popular and hard to find, so it probably belongs to a patron of the café.

I have a feeling that the buddibombs don’t automatically target an anthro mutation, but instead target a perceived threat regardless of the source. If I’m right, then if the crowd turn on Holly and Doc, the buddibomb will target the crowd instead of the anthros.

    Speculations:

    1) Holly may have had more than one purse. Her other purse was chewed up, and she may have simply grabbed another purse she already had, her wallet with ID and credit cards, identification and cash, and took off running after Lyn go boom(is Bud Dickman obscure?).

    2) Comic Book Guy may be about to mutate into an unfuzzy critter, and the Buddibomb may get him instead of warm-blooded and fuzzy Holly and Doc Chase (played here by Walter Matthau). I would suspect the virus researchers would want to detain and study sentient mutants rather than destroy them.

    3) I still think the mutagen is a virus, and people need to incubate the virus until the concentration levels reach a critical mass, when mutations occur.

    4) Holly and Lyn were exposed to the mutant monster well before their mutations, and may have incubated for a while, along with their fellow quarantine friends like Ethel. They all were isolated for observation, and paid well to be unwitting guinea pigs, but more likely to have been offered a sweet position at Apex to justify what was effectively a soft quarantine, or maybe internment.

    5) The Buddibombs may have been made available to a) protect the interned from mutants, b) destroy the mutants.

However, if the mutagen is like mushrooms, the virus is rapidly dispersed by the explosions, increasing the speed and occurrence of mutations. Lyn and Holly’s entire beighborhood may have been comprised of exposed people, and the mutations are starting to increase. When Doc and Holly left the quarantine sight, bombs were going off in other places. Dispersing the viral mutagen.

    6) I am pretty sure Apex and the NDDC are not fully aware of the pathology of the virus or the pathology of the mutations. Right now, the treatment for mutation seems to be kill it with explosives, and then burn everything to the ground. Except it is really hard to contain an airborne pathogen unless they know how it works. I am not attributing evil motives, when ignorance may be the driving factor.

    7) With the surge in mutations, Apex and NDDC may suspect explosives, flamethrowers, firearms, alcohol and insanity may not be working for them as well as they did for Dr Thompson, so Amesworth Radiation may become a thing to more thoroughly destroy the mutagen, but it too, may disperse the mutagen.

At this point, it may be the convenient intervention/distraction of someone else going monster mutant that will save our heroes.

Darwinskeeper- I had assumed that the initial WMD strikes were self-inflicted to deal with “hot spots” and the pretext/provocation for a general attack.
