Not that badâŠHolly, dear⊠Itâs safe to say that this entire town is going all to pieces. And itâs raining engine parts. You might want to find shelter before the rest of the vehicle follows suit.
Maybe they will figure out what he is. He really doesnât look like any identifiable animal. Maybe he was a bit semi-conscience when he changed, so he just became generic Critter.
Doc is a badger, but as Holly said, he looks like a cartoon. Weâve seen people who are the same animal type, but are different cartoon styles. Flask is realistic while other cats are more toony. Ethel was a realistic snake, while someone else would look more like Sir Hiss. How much like an animal a person becomes may depend on their idea of the animal. Itâs like a godlike artist asks âIf you were any cartoon animal, what kind of cartoon animal would you be?â and makes it so. Or like a mad scientist designed a virus that has the same effect.
Chase: âSorry, Holly. Iâm not swearing because of my morphotype. Iâm just upset that Iâm not going to be able to go back to the clinic like this. No, wait, I have a friend down south. Maybe I could ask Ben for adviceâŠâ
Actually, I kinda wonder if Doc is swearing not for emotional reasons, but because heâs just now noticing how bloominâ much his leg (hip?knee?) HURTS. (He limps and uses a cane in Endtown, right?)

Doc wasnât oblivious to his own metamorphosis after all.Is he a badger? You all look like cartoons in a comic strip! âș

I wouldn;t recognize a badger without the face markings. Also theyâre usually grey.

It looks to me like Doc resembles the cartoon character POGO, who famously said âWe have met the enemy and he is us.â

It looks like the godlike artist ran out of anvils.

Badger, opossum , capybara, wombat, all good possible types that would seem to be a near fit.

Checking badger pictures on Google, it looks like their noses do tend to blend in with the rest of their faces.

I donât think thereâs anyone alive post-End that hasnât gone through their own special hells to be alive.

Honey Badger. And he just doesnât give a âŠ. care.

Dadof3, perhaps he is the exceptionally elusive lower east Sumatran brown fuzzy.
