This might well be a continuation of yesterday’s storyline. That being said, I have a couple of prepositions fr you. Maybe Janis is up TO something because Arlo wasn’t up FOR something. Probably just idle conjecture on my part but still something worth considering.

If Janis did not have double standards she would have no standards at all.

I think it’s cute….she knows him well. My wife would say the same to me…..not being mean, just practical.

Perhaps she decided that Vince isn’t only in the past after all.

Women are always up to something. Mostly several somethings. If you ask, they’ll tell you about them. All of them. In detail. And once you ask, it will be assumed you’re interested, and you will hear frequentl updates. So, just don’t ask.

…and would it even be POSSIBLE for a man to spend 37 hours a day on the phone?

Well after she tried reconnecting with her old flame, he should have cause to worry about her on her phone all the time too.

My wife worships the phone. I am surprised she doesn’t have calloused ears.

This hit home for me. My wife always gets “questioning” when I am on the computer or on the phone…. which in realty is infrequent, and almost never when she and I are together (because I want to be with her in the moment, not distracted). Yet, she is always on her phone. Sometimes it makes me feel resentful as she plugs away at some &^%# app game, or is making phone calls, or texting. To me, that is what I believe Arlo is trying to nicely get Janis to be aware of…. her spending too much time on that thing…. especially when the two of them are together.

Do as I say, not as I do. I hate when people do this and I’m sitting next to them visiting. Just want to find the router and throw it out the window. Manners, where are they today?

Perhaps, Arlo, if you were more interested in what Janice is interested in instead of pontificating when you talk to her, she’d be talking to YOU a lot more. (Do you even know what she is interested in? Do you CARE?)

Perhaps the point Janis is making is that it would be out of character for Arlo to spend that much (or any) time on the phone, hence the natural suspicion that he would be up to something. For Janis, however, this behavior is normal.

@cosman. I used to think that way( until I got one myself) but now I’m not so sure.If anything there is more communication between humans now that ever.Granted,a lot of it is superfluous and inane, but people who talk too much will talk too much anyway, whether its by texting, facebook cell,IPad,or whatever.I agree face to face communication should always hold preference over our devices, and its always rude to yak with someone on a cell phone while ignoring the one you’re with. The future is here, might as wellgo along for the ride.

They built an airport the last time Janis got caught up with her phone. She didn’t see the airport until her phone died and she took a walk without a phone.
