British had developed auto pilots.Even at that, they shouldn’t have left their seats unattended, but the temptation was just too great.Knowing the Americans were not used to such things, one put his plane on Autopilot, tied a string to the back of his seat, went through the passengers to the toilet in the rear while pulling his string behind him..“Pardon me, Yank, but nature calls. Be a good fellow and keep this string taut, would you old boy?”.The passengers were terrified but durst not move.
Nope, the biggest thing I’ve ever flown was a B-52 (about 40 years ago), but these days you just use the autopilot for everything anyway so not much real flying in the 747 unless you absolutely need to. I’m sure my Cherokee 140 is adequate practice for that… well better than M$ Flight Sim anyway… 8^)

“I didn’t know you could fly.”.“Fly? Yes. Land? No.”

Depends which direction you want it flown.

I could if it were a 727, sorry.

I have no problem flying. It’s the take offs and landings that might be a big problem

“Yes. Yes I DO fly a 747. Why, did I leave it parked with its lights on?”

Not Jonathan Winters…it was Bob Newhart.

It’s probably nothing. Why do we always assume the worst?

How difficult can it be. I’m sure there’s an app for that.

It’s a Flight Sim junkie’s sweetest dream, that this would happen and he’d get a chance to fly a real 747.

No, but I’m quite proficient at parachuting.

Wasn’t Jonathon Winters, it was Bob Newhart. Luggage weigh-in was a bathroom scale, First-Class had overhead straps to hang onto, tourist didn’t.
