“The only exile will be you to your room without dessert, young man.”.Sorry, I went into my father mode (and I don’t even have kids).

The more this happens, the more I understand how the Mets and their fans feel. I just can’t make it into first. Of course, the only reason I’m even up is because this is the only time of the day when my three little rebels are not actively fomenting rebellion. They may be dreaming about it and they can dream all they want. DAD RULES!!!, with a nerf fist wrapped in a velvet glove.

Someday it will be Calvin’s decision as to whether you get put into a nursing home, and he’ll think back to this moment…

When you’re older, it will be the other way around. But on a side note, you can’t change the people who are biologically related to you.

The polls are rigged anyway. I see that you’re only polling Hobbes and yourself.

I did keep an eye to the polls… On the plus side, not much teenage rebellion, either!

the point you’re not getting is … he’s your parent, he caused your existence, you are residing under his roof. tough love, kid.

Well, Calvin, you are fairly revolting sometimes, but I don’t think your Dad is going to exile you. He may have thought of it, though.

In a later strip, Calvin says that the polls indicate Mom replacing Dad as head of the household. He changes his mind when Mom tells Dad “My first act will be to make you do all the cooking.”

There would be another solution according to Wilmington’s speech of August 9th.

    Remember:

Better nip this in the bud, as Barney Fife would say.

The mantra:“Calvin is revolting, Calvin is revolting, Calvin is revolting”.The question is who’s mantra?

Notice how Dad strategically left out the mention of his wife, Calvin’s Mother.

Driving back to today’s strip, I’d say Calvin honked at Dad’s door, Dad opened the door, and Calvin pulled right on in…
