Yesterdays cartoon about the emergency people carrying the woman scratched by a cat … Peterborough Ontario just made it a bylaw that your cat must be on a leash. The caption will soon be “lacerated trying to put a leash on the cat”… Can you imagine putting a leash on your cat???
bbear: world domination game/Risk. The “hot desert with lots of scorpions” sounds like southern Utah. Please don’t send any more animal abusers here. We already have plenty. Unless they can all be put in Pergatory, the local prison. That would work. And disable the a/c.
If you can enlarge the picture, the prison is in the back. In the foreground are the fairgrounds. During the fair each year, they have a bunch of prisoners working on trash detail and giving info out to the public. They were their b/w striped outfits and little round hats.
Happy to this day, I still have that taped to my fridge! I see it everyday. My one son asked me one time, “Mom” was that posted by one of your friends at gocomics, the lady who died"? Nice to know my kids pay attention, :-)
Some of you haven’t been around as long as me, and some don’t visit the strips I do, but we have lost some great people over the years! Of course, Linda and Ruth but also, Mine and our Locos group, DEAR FRIEND CARMY, and also Jim and Hope and Joy, and DAZZ!
So…I read last night’s comments first and saw that Dry & Dusty commented back to me about her TC favs. So you can believe I was really confused to read a few minutes ago Jesse’s comment about missing D + D! DD’s reply to J was laugh out loud hilarious!
My dear departed, Kristen, was pretty good on the kitty harness. But, at times she wanted to go under hedges and the tangle mess ensued. Also, I had to be pretty alert to see that we didn’t meet any pooches out on their walkies.
This is the only strip I post comments on. Those who post here seem refreshingly intelligent and the pictures are great. Many of the comments on various strips just are for trolls and haters. I would rather not engage in that type of activity.
Thanks everyone…you make me smile and that’s good for an old man.
While in Reno, one of my fingers started to hurt. Then it was swollen. I chalked it up to arthritis – a first for me. But it’s only gotten worse and it burns. So, I stopped to see the doc on the way home from the dentist today.
It’s broken. No wonder it hurts and is swollen. How did I do it? Beats me. I tend to trip over my own big feet and maybe I did and blocked a fall by hitting a door or wall or stair railing.
He said it would take about 6 months for the swelling to go down. The bone will heal itself but said a splint would be a good idea. I told him Brad had popsicles and I could use one of his sticks. He thought he could do better and put me in a real splint. He was our doc up until about year ago when he gave up his regular practice to do part time work so I was happy to see him.
Calvin update: no more discharge from is eyes at all. The vet said I can stop the ointment but just watch to see if it comes back. If not, he can go out for adoption this weekend.
If you check my Profile, you will see my Favorite strip is Jan 3 2015, which GRAHAM dedicated to me and LINDA DEAN, the original Wet and Soggy. I have the original print from Graham, in a frame hanging on my wall in a nice frame. Linda would be tickled by that.! And my Bio is a reference to CARMY which was a private joke between us LOCOS. She struggled with a long battle with cancer, and our group became really close, it helped get her through her final days, so even though I don’t comment and post pictures like I used to, you all "KEEP ON KEEPIN’ ON!

This is the only one I comment on, too. Great photos by so many contributors who take the time to post them.
