I once worked for a guy who sent me off to do some research to find an answer for him. He didn’t like my report. He wanted a particular answer, and I told him that if he knew ahead of time what answer he wanted, he should tell me and I could then tell him whether or not I could justify that answer. He looked offended.

The IPCC, Fourth Report released in 2007 stated that, multiple lines of evidence confirms that the post-industrial rise in greenhouse gases does not stem from natural mechanisms. In other words this is anthropogenic climate change, and the significant increases in the atmosphere of these potent greenhouse gases are a result of human activity.

Mainstream sucks, it does not measure up to my standards.

Sounds like every religion that ignores science, looking for only those facts that support their position. And persecute those who disagree with them.

Boldly question all those who do not want you to question their dogma!

Wiley nailed almost all government and soros funded science.

It’s called junk science.

Kinda like man made global climate change is “mainstream”.

BTW, the climate does change, the cause is up for debate. I live in NE Kansas, in an area called the “Glacial Hills”. They were deposited by a glacier that melted/retreated over 11000 years ago. Why? Because climates change.

And this, kids, is how climate change came to be accepted without the proof science used to require to make something “true.” Climate Changers would throw guys like Galileo and Copernicus in jail for challenging their consensus.

So Wiley equates “mainstream” science with “intellectual dishonesty”. What? All of it? Or just the bits he doesn’t like? Which bits would that be? Climate change, maybe, or intelligent design? Young Earth Creationism, UFO’s, anti-vaxing, pyramid power? Tobacco Institute stuff? Is mainstream physics ok? Is Maxwell a fraud? Have we been lied to about Einstein all our lives? Magnetism, how does that work?

The side of any scientific debate most like Danae’s church is the one that invokes the coercive power of government to silence, punish, or intimidate the heretics who contradict the Official Orthodoxy.

Government officials, candidates for public offices, corporations – and yes, even scientists – often “cherry-pick science” for their own ends.

There’s plenty of “intellectual dishonesty” to go around.

Anyone who insists that we believe (and regard as true) a collection of words written by a committee over hundreds of years needs to open their eyes and minds..I see the climate changes and it’s happening too quickly to be natural.

‘mainstream’ as intellectual dishonesty; well as Jeffrey reluctantly sez. It will work in Danae’s sphere. Of course that does not mean it specifically meets the facts; somewhere, science suffers, as happens.
