Both my husband & can operate computers & TV’s, but with the paper we can both read at the same time, just swap sections- & we don’t need 2 devices. Also, I just don’t like doing puzzles on the computer!

I am a plugger ,but I went to newspapers online because the price doubled or tripled on the 3 I read ! And my toilet paper has more plys than the papers has pages some days !
I think it is unfortunate newspapers as we knew them in the past are losing favor to other forms of communications. However, we should all be aware, most of us anyway, we no longer have to cut and stack wood to heat our homes, can shop in a variety of retail stores with a huge selection of food to place on our tables, and don’t need to light candles or kerosene lamps to read our favorite printed materials.
The world is changing, and although we can do without some changes, it is mostly for the better…
At my mother’s burial, I said that because of my mother, (may she rest in peace), I’m keeping four newspapers alive because she taught me the love of newspapers.
Always worked for me and my two parrots until they passed, one at 28 and the other at 55. But I’ve been reading newspapers, and now also news mags, since I was old enough to read, and back then we had morning and evening editions (city of 30,000). Ah, I miss those good old days, and Charlie and Peaches, my little family along with my two pups.

Or for starting fires. Or protecting the table while I’m cleaning my pistols. Or making papier mache sculptures. Or doing crossword puzzles….

I save $175 a year by reading the news on line. Plus the readers comments are a plus to read. You can’t say the same with a newspaper.

In NYC, you can grab free newspapers from various street bins. Very useful when needing paper towels or dropcloths.

Our local paper just repeats what I heard on the 11 O’clock news of the night before and only the local bits.

A plugger delivers the newspaper. You reading it does make you a hardworking person.
