Newspapers and homework are pretty comfortable, too. As long as the human is trying to read or write, that is.

Our son is allowed to skritch the Supreme Being’s chin like that, but his mother and I are not. We have to stroke in other ways.

I love it later on in the comic when the boys and all the rest of the newer cast including Beatrix are discussing their favourite books to sleep on. ;-)

Time for Elvis’ nails to be trimmed. Elvis – it is for your own good.

I have a male gray tabby who sometimes reacts the same way as Elvis has done in the second to last panel.

Actually books are heat insulators which is what makes them good resting spots any time. A good heat conductor is something like the lid of a car trunk. No cat sleeps on that unless it is in full sun or has a warm engine under it. (Isn’t it nice to know that two science degrees haven’t gone to waste?)

Our IX Lives – the only soap (besides Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman) that I like. Good to see there’ll be that special.
