Cats, I have had, always tended to accept and eat what I gave them, whether cat food or leftovers. If they liked its smell, they enjoyed it. When they went outside, they would also catch and eat small animals, birds and some insects. We had one cat that always gifted us with a rat or mouse she caught.
YumYum is fairly easygoing about her kibble; wet food, when she accepts it, has to be shreds or chunks in gravy. If you offer her leftovers, she will look at you with an expression that clearly says “why are you trying to poison me?”
I love that Elvis refers to himself as a good boy. I wonder if mine think they’re all “purty kitties”. The one female we have is very large and my husband hates when I call herTubby. He says it hurts her feelings. As a side note, she came to us this way and the first day she went on a diet. She actually eats very little – and it’s Science Diet for Urinary Care and Stress. She gets it because she had stones, as did one of the other cats. We caught hers in time because I knew the symptoms from the other cat. (He needed surgery, hers disovlved) She’s not fat because we give her people food – we don’t.
I love these strips, and it is a distinct pleasure to see them every day. I think we all are rooting for Georgia to succeed, so we can keep enjoying them. That means that she needs to gently bring new readers into the fold, with a little explanatory material now and then, and run some material that is classic to us, but new to them. I know that I joined the series a couple months in, and was lost at some of the references. I almost stopped reading at the references to Elvis, as I naturally thought of the pop singer and had no interest in a strip that revived him. I do. To want anyone else to suffer that fate, and am soooo glad I got with the program. Let us give others the chance, too…
I wish my Miss Furbie would eat good cat food. She prefers the cheap kind that makes her poo stink up the neighborhood. Now that I know which one it is, she either has to eat the kind that is good for her or kibbles, which she really likes best. She is a great water drinker, so I don’t worry about her developing stones. But she is a VERY picky eater, which the kitties next door appreciate as they get all of her turn downs.
Years ago, I switched my cat’s regular food to 9 Lives because I was saving the labels to get a Morris t-shirt. (Anyone asking “Who’s Morris?” leave the room. Now.) She ate it, but not as eagerly as her old food. As soon as I had the t-shirt, I went back to her old brand. I made sure the t-shirt was out of reach so she couldn’t do anything to it.
OMC ( Oh my cat) I wonder what percentage of people feed steering wheels to their cats ..? …why will a cat suspect any new food but delight in swallowing any random bug? LOL

I love how they’re judging the flavour based off the shape: drumstick-shaped = fish, circular = ???

Elvis, Lupin, and Puck are all good boys and they deserve their usual kibble which has the taste good boys love!

If they don’t like it, they can always fill the man’s shoe with it. He’ll get the hint.

Did BCN start over after all of the reruns? I don’t know what happened!
