Again, could the look on Elvis’s face be any more precious and he tries to throw scorn at Puck?

Almost every time I’m in the kitchen preparing meals, Jingle Belle Katt is trying to climb my leg, demanding “FOOD!”

Gee, we never thought to give the tuna water to the kitty. My mom would just let him lick the the lid at the risk of cutting his tongue. The dog got the can. She had always drained the water into the sink.

Whenever my mom, stepfather, or I make tuna sandwiches, one of us always drained the water into the sink. Our cat(s) usually gets to “clean” out the can, though.

That’s why cat’s created us with thumbs: to open cat food and tuna cans, and open doors.
Always read BCN last, because I know it will leave me with a warm, fuzzy feeling.

Sam and Dean won’t eat any people food at all but they do like tuna juice (and salmon). Now my dearly missed Figaro had special can opener radar and was often attempting to “help” you open cans before you even had the opener out of the drawer

Yep Christmas dinner around here was canned tuna for 5 kitties and 1 Weimaraner. Everyone loved me. I don’t like canned tuna but keep it on hand for the kitties and dog for special occasions.

I forget, does Lupin have a nickname like Puck and Elvis?

Cat No. 1 always came running and tried to climb the stove whenever we opened a can of tuna or soup, even though she only had dry food. We would offer her a taste of tuna on a finger, but she would sniff and walk away like she had been deeply offended. Cat No. 2 – who gets moist food every morning – ignores all other can opening.

Here’s a tip I got from the vet. Keep at least one can of tuna in oil around. If it’s been a day or so since there was activity in the litter box, let your baby have some of it.

I think all cats love tuna water. All of mine have.
