I am not sure what this new policy is about. I enjoy posting pix that extend the joke in the toon and make other people laugh. Why does that bother them?

No photos of cute bunnies here. Not any more.

In fairness to GoComics, I believe all the included pictures (especially GIFs) were a major reason that the site loaded slowly and consumed a lot of memory. In my case, visiting GoComics generally required restarting Firefox at least once, because it would start to freeze up.

I only come here for the pictures.

Perhaps if all the PRO users stop paying and the rest of us get AdBlock then GoComics will learn their lesson.

Ten Cats is a favorite for both the strip and the comments. What a wonderful group of people who care about each other and share a laugh or two each day. Because of the comments, I have recommended Ten Cats to everyone who will listen to me.

Well, that was a wasted 45 minutes searching, coding and coming here to share with you only to learn that I am a spammer. Oh heavens.

I won’t stop coming to the strip because of GoComics’ attitude towards posting pictures (and I don’t understand how that can be considered spam, the comments from the trolls were a lot more spam-like), but I will certainly miss the pictures as they lifted my mood every morning. I may not be able to comment any more as I am not sure how to get bold and italics here.

Im going to make someone unhappy with me here, but i think that it needs to be said. Iv’e seen this coming.

Perhaps the problem isn’t the trolls. Perhaps the long stacks of photo after photo posted by some people is the problem. I did that a few times in the beginning when i first learned how to post photos, but stopped. I made it a personal limit of three photos in a row in one forum MAX. And i tried to keep my bunnies on topic, either of the comic, or conversation in the forum. Some people have gone overboard with the number of posts, and that might be the prob

What i don’t like is the heavy handed, no warning approach that GoComics has used.

I will miss the photos. They were the real reason I came to this strip. Thank you all for the wonderful pics and memes over the years.

I, too, will miss the photos. I was able to enjoy cute cat pics without getting sucked into more extensive postings elsewhere on the net. Limiting the postings per person is worth considering.

I, for one, LIKE seeing pictures of kittens, cats, bunnies and puppies. It’s what makes this comment section so different and wonderful. I like seeing pictures of members new pets and seeing the joy. I like seeing the pictures of the cats who have passed on and letting the member share his or her grief with us. I likes sharing pictures of my foster kittens.

This is where I start and end my day.

I don’t know what gocomics problem is. Who cares of someone posts 10 pictures of cats in jail outfits or bunnies sleeping in cereal bowls? We are all animal people here and it’s what draws us to this place.

If go comics is going to do this to us, I, for one, will not renew my membership next year. Now I’m angry that I just renewed it at the end of Sept.

I only recently discovered Ten Cats (about 6 months ago) and really enjoyed the cat videos and pics. If your policy on this doesn’t change I have no reason to click on Ten Cats.

This comic is perfect for what is going on. We are in Lock Down. I, too, love all the pics, especially ones of commenter’s cats and all the funny ones that make me smile. No smiles today. I will still read the comic as I love it.

I guess I’m guilty of “spamming” several pictures at a time on this comments section (rarely post pictures on other comics), but a warning would have been nice, or a message implementing a restriction on the number of posts per hour, or something like that.

Well this sucks, I don’t often comment but I loved coming here to see the pics and have posted a few of my own too. I don’t recall seeing any spamming in the comments like I have at other sites so I call bs gocomics

I’m a pro member, mainly to avoid the ads and support the site, but I think I will not be renewing my subscription when it comes up for renewal, plus I will move Goat-Comix to a different browser and implement ad-blocking software.Their loss, not mine.

I’ve just checked my Groat-Conners account and my subscription renews on the 14th October, as the CC details are out of date, so the account shouldn’t renew, I’m not going to update them.

I would love to have Grahams’ take on this issue. Maybe he could work it into a new strip.

I have not been commenting here that long. I do enjoy the people and loved the pictures. I only posted pictures twice, but I guess no more. That’s too bad, but it’s their little store so they can do what they want. I will let my pro account expire mainly because of the way they handled the so called “problem”. It wasn’t discussed, there were no alternatives offered or reasons given except for the spam thing.

Geo Comics has a very bad CATITUDE !!!!

I guess I am guilty as well, but I loved posting pics of cats, trying to carry on the theme of the strip. We have an unique community here and I;d hate to lose it. Not renewing your Pro membership would only help GC. They would then be able to get more ad revenue. Please write (politely) to Customer Services and tell them they will lose readership unless they give us back our original format.Today is a sad, sad day.

I like Marathon Zack’s workaround for GoComics image limits. All of his pictures came up just fine for me when I highlighted and opened in a new tab.

I used to browse and really enjoy the icanhazcheeseburger site until the owners/hosts decided to roll out changes that made the site less user friendly and included more adverts, I (like many others) walked away from the site, and its content took a nosedive. This could also happen to Gocomics.

I see the previously posted links and pictures are still there.

Then click the blank spaces to see who to send a notice to that you will not be seeing their ad anymore and that they are wasteing their money supporting GoComics.

Is it possible that readers who want to post pictures could send them to Graham, and HE could post the ones he thinks others would enjoy seeing?

On top of no longer allowing links and pictures, they also have a character limit (almost as small a limit as twitter has) and we can’t do line breaks either anymore.

Highlighting, right clicking and waiting for each picture to load is too time consuming. If I can’t see my friends’ pictures and comments there’s not much incentive to hang around!

A. Comments are now limited to 500 charactersB. Captcha has been added to comment “Submit” process to reduce fake posts from botsC. Images are no longer allowed in the body of commentsD. Comment art is now restricted to the use of bold and italic font characters

I’ve replied that it’s not cool to annoy/alienate their dedicated users and that they have used a brutal sledgehammer approach to the spam and that I will not be renewing my pro membership

My membership was due to renew on Oct 7. I emailed them and cancelled. To all of you who posted pictures – do not feel guilty or sorry or anything. We all enjoyed the pictures so much. More Cats Than Sense – thanks for posting their reply. I will miss your pictures as well as all the others. I also enjoy everyone’s comments but am afraid some might leave us. This all just makes me sad!

Please change BACK to old standard. At least, put line breaks back in. Run on commentary is hard to read ! ! !

Not dissing on anyone here, because I do enjoy your photos and comments, but when few commented on the strip, I can sort of see where others would complain, I enjoy this strip, pictures and all, everywhere around here, and all the camaraderie that has happened here. I have friends, email and phone that I have because of gocomics. But the ones they should be going after are the “Trolls Under the Bridge” and they aren’t!

My cats have been driving me bonkers today….constantly on my lap, behind me as I sit at computer, rubbing legs and (Tyler) nipping fingers a bit. Gotta love felines!!!!

I haven’t seen anything on any of the 50+ comics I regularly read which would constitute span (like it did in the early days when advertisements were regularly posted). And if the only spam is from the Trolls, then leave the rest of us alone. I am so sick and tired of the 99% being punished for the sins of the 1%.

Sadly my pro membership charged me last week. Had it been today, I would not have renewed. This is so crazy.

I too enjoyed the pictures but don’t know how to post any. However cancelling your memberships is only hurting the writers of these comics. I love Ten Cats and I won’t bail because of these rule changes. Peace out.

Thanks to Dry and the others who love Ten Cats and support it. This is a wonderful and unique strip and I wish it would get syndicated but that hasn’t happened so far.Love Graham’s work. I live in Vancouver so see his Vancouver Sun’s editorial cartoons every week.
