Coming Soon 👀 At the beginning of April, you’ll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
The trick is not to be happy with what we have, but to be happy with what is coming. It comes – and what we have goes – in spite of what we think we want.
He could ask himself what would happen if a war came to his country (since I also live in Ontario Canada I’d be a bit nervous about this as well). What if his family was in danger? what if an earthquake hit or wildfires? What if they suddenly had to scramble for survival? What if one of his kids got cancer? All kinds of horrible case scenarios. I know it sounds terrible but if you ask yourself such questions it really will make you thankful for what you have and you’ll want to run home and embrace your family and thank God they’re healthy and have their needs met.
Lynn’s Notes: A few years after the strip was drawn the gag was not so funnyDid Lynn Johnston give any indication why she thought her strip was not funny? Did it get old? Was the line shopworn or too much of a gag? Did she feel she recycled the joke from an earlier strip, what?
I went to Australia and spent 2 weeks in the bush wrestling western gray kangaroos down and putting tracking collars on them. Most fun I ever had. Totally different from my life in Texas.
