Coming Soon 👀 At the beginning of April, you’ll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
Bambi meets Godzilla, a very short movie. Strange line from Calvin, a giant criminal slug meets an innocent ostracized doe, the opposite of each other, but Calvin is the onion.
Great job sewing, Mom! All it’s lacking is a hole for him to speak through. On the other hand, this gives him an excuse not to have learned his line.
It is interesting that income to the site is somewhat connected to the number of “clicks” on a given page. It’s how advertisers are charged for displaying their wares. Logic would dictate, with fewer comments, there would be less income, and that translates into less money for the artists…
I taught groups of children about nutrition, and we actually did dress them up as vegetables to put on a presentation. We just drew a large version of the vegee on a piece of posterboard big enough to cover their front, cut it out, and hung it around their necks.

Looks more like a stinky version of Max, the dog from “The Grinch Who Stole Christmas.”

I think it’s a fine likeness of an onion – especially from someone who admits she is not a good seamstress!

I dunno. Looks more like a garlic, or maybe a dried fig, to me. Hard to tell at this distance, and mom’s not making any claims.

What does he think? Well, get him a mirror. How can Calvin see what the costume looks like from inside it?

An amino acid? What a coincidence. There’s a garage band associated with the Church of the SubGenius™ called the Amino Acids. Praise “Bob”.

It’s a good thing Calvin didn’t need to dress like a map of the world as The Smothers Brothers sing about:
Â
Her eyes were Siam
Her nose was Hindustan
And on her knees was Greece
Â
Her back was Brazil
Her chest was Bunker Hill
Her hips they were Con-stan-ti-no-po-ple
Â
Just then, I saw my wife
And to avoid a future strife
I let the rest of the world go by
