My mother owned FB , bought $38 sold $105, she didn’t blog, twit of FB but she was happy with other people’s endless fascination with sharing their lives as long as she didn’t have to read any of it.
I will add your WD. Several clubs and groups I belong to use Facebook. What I do now is check them for updates for meetings news and the like. I tend to avoid the main page. And while I don’t like to unfriend I am using unfollow to block out a lot the ranters. I find doing that make my Facebook as useful tool and not a time waster. I keep my Facebook time to until 10 to 15 minutes a day. If that.
I use FB all the time, mostly because many of my friends have moved to other countries and it’s nice to keep in touch. I will say that I like it much better now that I added the Social Fixer chrome plugin to block all the likes, comments, and election posts.
I limit my time on Facebook… and the only people on my friends list are family or people I know in real life. It is pretty much the only way I get some news about many of my family members.
.
I have also found it a good way to find interesting articles and share pictures.
I’ve found out from Facebook that I have some relatives and friends as does my wife who are voting for the orange haired behemoth. Please remind everyone who’s voting for the GOP nominee to remember to turn out on November 28th
Sorry, Jay, but the insanity gets worse after the election. We will find out how vladimir putin helped trump win, and how the equally corrupt gop helps trump get away with his crimes. And worse, we will realize that about 40% of Americans are racist and ignorant to the point that they will threaten a civil war when trump is defeated in 2020. They do not care that trump has told them over TWENTY THOUSAND LIES in four years.

No FB, no twitter, no social media, no TV. Yes to real world, yes to talking to people face to face, yes to real life.

I value my anonymity too much to go public on social media.
