What else is there to do in the arctic in the winter?

The bears are looking great Wiley. They got game. :-)

Polar bears don’t actually hibernate. Just looked it up to confirm. They do something described as walking hibernation… and so what really, this is Eddie’s take on it and it is fun to see.

I do so love his stories. Better than tv!!! Some days he must have Baron Munchhausen over for coffee and biscuits an talk about their continuing adventures.

… and the baron takes notes.

Trylobyte, walking hibernation…I like that….I’m pretty sure that’s what I do in Winter……..I think panel 4 is a selfie by the bear in the lower left corner….And who knew Wiley Bears like Polka music?…And they have reason to celebrate! Lot’s of hikers, golfers, and the like in the freezer, set for the winter….

Winter coming on, time to hear from Pierre of the North.

This is clearly a veiled statement on undeserved post-election celebrations by the winning party …… which is why elections in this country are heal just prior to the onset of Winter! ……. or it’s just bearly fun.

Well that solves that mystery. Since polar bears don’t really hibernate, are not big on reality TV shows and are too poorly coordinated to ski, their actual winter activities have always been open to speculation. Now I’ll finally be able to sleep.

haveyou ever considered drawing some Wiley Bears for the National Wildlife Federation, The Nature Conservancy, , or whatever wildlife organization you prefer? . ;) :D I’d love a Wiley Bear throw for a good cause. :)

I still have the W.A. Weber animal and bird cards my grandparents/mother gave me. When I was a kid I had them all memorized.
