The Monopoly street properties were based on those in early 20th century Atlantic City, New Jersey, which has a “Boardwalk” the street that runs parallel to the seashore. The famous Broadway is a street in New York City which contains the theater district and it is not in the Monopoly game. (Last time I played the board game, it’s been a few years admittedly.)

Why is Dee Dee singing?

Now that’s how to end the new year on a few high notes….and also to end my run through the 2016 Big Nate strips! Whew, an entire year in just 4 days. Even I think that’s impressive! Though other users have done much more in a shorter amount of time. Anyway, I’m all done with these year-long runs, I’m all commented out. See you all back in the present! And stay safe during the present-day virus!
