Let’s hear it for Cal

One of my favorite Sunday strips. It shows his mom really does love him.

And it’s time for bed.

Of course mom couldn’t keep up with him. Calvin has a tiger in his tank.

My neighbours do this. How much sense does it make to get your kids all wired up when you want them to go to sleep? I can hear them through the wall…and then the kid gets too excited and falls, or breaks something, and the yelling starts.

It is a risk to see who can go kaput first. Mom didn’t win this one. And a delightful comic since we never really see Calvin laughing like that. He is usually doing is villain laugh.

Give Mom some Chocolate Frosted Sugar Bombs next time Calvin then the 2 of you can play all night.

A nice shot of a rare, gleeful side of Calvin. One of the strips I remember most as a kid- even the “EEK!” squeal and the exact way the panels looked (look at mom, curling up into a ball!).

No parent will ever outlast a child at play time or bed time. Just don’t have the reserves.

Good to know it’s not just this ol’ body who gets worn out playing with grandkids.

Love it! This reminds me of my son and me chasing each other when he was little. And now my grandson and I chase each other! It’s a good thing I’m a runner so I have some endurance to keep up with him. Lol!
