Rat: What if the government is not our real government? What if the military and the defense establishment is in charge? And what if their goal is to keep us in a perpetual state of fear so that we never question things? And what if a comic strip pointed all this out? Would they let that happen? Or would we be replaced by something harmless and - Man: Faster...faster... Girl: I feel all warm and happy when I see mommy and daddy kissing!

Bil Keane is really the one running the country. He just allows all those other creepy guys with dark glasses and such to exist so we’ll worry about them and leave him alone to do as he wishes.

Most polls usually gives the military at or near the highest rating of government offices. Pastis may be running out of croc material and if he is going to move into the revolution movement, he may find himself MIA from a lot of bookmarks.

There’s no question that Trump himself (one of the least secure people in the country, apparently) would just love to censor a huge number of talk shows, comedians, comic strips, editorial cartoons, editorial columns, songs, dances, tee shirts………..
