I have not read this long but I don’t see TJ being the jerk everyone claims he is. Maybe he’s growing up.

Come on Brad, you have a babe who wants you in the biblical way probably several times. Budget can wait, Of course TJ being the smart, empathetic, good friend he is knows to leave you and Toni to have that quality time together. Especially with shifting shifts, because buddy when she gets pregnant, and has a new DeGroot, plus btw whatever may happen with Shannon, these times will be very, very hard to do. OOOOOOOOO indeed!! Although she said OOOOO too. A bit confusing, though maybe TJ reminded them both? Anyway people here who casts bad shade on him should reconsider.

We haven’t heard yet how long TJ is going to be gone. On a trip? For a few days? ‘Farewell to dinner together’ could mean he has long-term plans. He may actually realize this 3-some isn’t going to work for long.

Well, this was quick! Now we wait and see where he’s going. Not far, I’d think, as he still has to manage Kafe Kablooey! We’ll see…. And Yes, Brad… don’t think about financial planning now…. Think about Toni….

Well, here is my hope that the amorous activities get thwarted for comedic value…. like was suggested above, perhaps by a sudden “emergency” baby sitting session for Shannon, or some other humorous misadventure.

Do not get me wrong, I enjoy “amorous activity” as much as any fellow, but, at least in my opinion, I like “Luann” the comic strip, best when it is comedic or when it is just a bit dramatic. I would hope and anticipate that amorous activity between Brad and Toni is loving, kind, gentle, and heartfelt…. which I would anticipate is how Greg would portray it… but, it is not really the most interesting (IMO) aspect of the Luannivere’s characters for me to look forward to reading. So… hopefully there will be a whole bunch of comedic snafu’s occurring to alter their plans….. much more fun for me to read. :)

In the last panel, I think TJ meant that “dinner conversation” was over from that point on as the other conversants had become other-minded. Not that he was necessarily bailing on the living arraignment.

Well, one thing I’m not so happy with is this new “threaded” reply system. I prefer the old “linear” system. You used to be able to do a “CTRL-F Find” operation on your GoComics ID and find all the posts you’ve made or the replies where someone used it in their post or reply. Now, if you reply to a post underneath the main post, you won’t see that reply because it will be collapsed under the main post.

If not already done, I suggest an improvement to Go Comics. Please add an “Expand All” button to allow all posts and all replies underneath them to be seen on the page, together. This way, the “CTRL-F Find” operation will work again.

I wonder what these budget decisions are. Did they spend too much on the wedding and honeymoon? Toni and Brad have a sound proofed room so TJ shouldn’t have to leave. He cooked the meal and is entitled to relax and enjoy it like T & B.

Farewell to dinner together means that Brad and Toni are going to have to do the cooking. That will eat into their time for other things.

At 1st I thought that the ‘OOOOOOOO!’ referred to the fact that B & T will have the house to themselves. But they are almost like an old married couple. I actually think that they are wondering what other life or plan TJ might have… it is the typical playful "OOOOOOOO’ that friends would express when someone could suddenly have a ‘significant other’

Come on, give TJ a break. He’s no dummy, and he’s making up his departure so Toni and Brad can have a little private time. Greg is the one who will screw up the romantic interlude, probably by sending in that mouthy, hyper active brat Shannon. Isn’t she old enough yet to send away to some military school?

Regarding biding farewell to dinner together: Toni’s first remark in panel one is how nice it is to have dinner together. It is when Toni and Brad both say ‘OOOO’ in response to TJ’s comment that he will be away that TJ then says his thing about dinner together, meaning that he is responding to the OOOO comment by recognizing that Toni and Brad will have ‘plans’ for their time together that don’t involve dinner…
