Ancient astronaut theorists suggest that the vanishing cat in the backyard is in fact an alien who keeps visiting this planet to learn the mysteriously mysterious ways of cats… Ancient astronaut theorists also suggest an alternative theory that all cats are in fact aliens, a fact that can be derived from their mysterious behaviour, and the backyard cat is an alien who’s come to see how his ancient ancestral cousins are doing in this planet… We return to the mysteriously mysterious backyard cat aliens after this short catnap… Er I mean short break… Also after the break, an exclusive look into the upcoming cat movies, “Catwatch” and “Cat Wars : The Last Kitti”
The only animals our cats ever see in the yard are birds, squirrels and bunnies, as indoor cats I’m not sure they even really know prey when they see it
A couple of neighbor cats were fighting a few nights ago, and that sure got their attention
There’s a new ginger cat roaming around our complex that has my 2 having conniptions, racing from one end of the house to the other so they can stare at it through the windows. No screaming or poofiness just angry glares as it saunters past the house
Our pool attracts Bob cats & birds. Indoor only cat, Shellie, gets excited when local Bob Cat jumps wall, drinks out of pool fountain, & comes up to glass sliding doors staring at Shellie jumping at door with loud meows. Quite a show.
I do my best to keep my kitties indoors lest they encounter the urban wildlife in my area; possums, raccoons, stray dogs/cats, but mostly the fleas the afore mentioned carry. My eldest, Kooklah, was declawed before I adopted her, so she’d be unable to defend herself or climb to escape. My youngest is too curious and wanting to play (to the annoyance of the 12 year-old) and I’m afraid wouldn’t get the “back off” message before she got hurt. She IS good at alerting me to the presence of insects and lizards in my home (okay, that’s NOT just a knothole in the paneling), in fact, last Sunday she alerted on something on the other side of the door leading to my front room; it turned out to be a three-foot cottonmouth snake!Don’t ask me how it got there, I’m just glad Gigi and the snake didn’t square off in a speed-strike contest.
