A hot plate in the basement? No way! I would be thinking the family is going to get a little fast food or pizza that week.

The eyerolls say it all.

I think Elly has more faith in John than the children do!

Elly would not be smiling if she realized what she just said.

at least she has a basement, we had a hot plate in the laundry room for the 3 months it took to get our kitchen remodeled but the end result was totally worth every hot dog and microwave dinner we had.

No BBQ on the grill?

Yep…that’s an " eyeroller" statement if I ever heard one !

Lynn’s Notes:

At the time of our kitchen renovation, we managed to dine in the hallway with the use of a borrowed hot plate and a microwave. This was fun…for a while.

My wife always asks “Are you sure you know what you’re doing!”

Daddy knows what he’s doing, but he’s gonna do it, anyway.

Ah, kitchen remodeling. My mother did that when I was in grade school. Luckily my sister had her own apartment so we didn’t have to eat carry-out for Thanksgiving.
