At first I couldnât figure out what Pucky was peeking through in panel 2, what that brown band was⊠until I realized it was his behind. snerk Poor Pucky.
Off Topic: Wonderful news from Georgia from her BCN Facebook on July 8th.âI have tremendously exciting news to shareâwe are closing on a house next week! If youâve been following the comic (and us) for the past few years, you know that an unexpected lay off in 2012 sent our family into a tailspin. We had to sell our house in Washington, move back close to our hometown in Rhode Island (where we moved into the real apartment in the real Big Pink House!) Then the Manâs work brought us to California and finally back to Washington. WHEW, it has been a crazy few years to say the least. Weâve worked so hard to stabilize our finances, pay back our debts, and save for a new home. (And you have been a huge part of thatâThank you is not enough, but thank you. Thank you, so much). A few weeks ago, we found an amazing house nearby, the owners even more amazingly accepted our offer, and we have been packing since! I never wanted to move this much, but Iâm grateful to the experiences weâve had along the way. The comic gained its settings through our moves. The Big Pink House and Quinn Farms have almost become characters of their own, and I donât think I would have thought of them otherwise. Viejo Gato, the warm, sea swept canyon town in âOur IX Livesâ is based on Aliso Viejo, where we lived during our stay in California. All we ever wanted was a home to call our own, to raise our children, and set down roots. We are overjoyed for a chance to do that. "
Elsewhere, Georgia says that she has enough of a backlog of strips that this time they can continue without a break while she and her family pack and move.
You never see vacuum cleaners with headlights any more. I always thought it was a bit pointless because they were always too big to go under furniture anyways, but I suppose they were meant for dimmer lighting than most houses have now.
Pauline, a calico we had many years ago, would sit in front of the horrible Whoosh! monster and after a few minutes run up, bap! it once and run away, very proud of having defeated it.

In the dog world, my mini schnauzer, Greta Petunia runs from the vacuum, but goes after the lawn mower.
