Oh no…another strip with no words. At least as of 1:12 AM EST. I’ll check back later, if I remember.

Can’t get the artwork done correctly…..what a born loser.

Eek! What happened to the strip? It looks about half-finished!

My local paper has this. Interestingly, it has two throwaway panels that GoComics doesn’t have.

Anyway, we have Brutus (B) talking to a friend (F) we’ve never seen before:

F: I finally got rid of my landline last month. I found I wasn’t using it anymore – I use my cellphone for everything now.

B: I still use my landline.

F: Why? I can’t think of one thing I used to do on my landline that I can’t do on my cellphone. I’ll bet you can’t name one thing you do on your landline that you couldn’t do on your cell!

B: When I can’t find where I left my cellphone, I use my landline to call it, then I listen for the cell to ring.

I see “Born Loser” and I want it painted black. I see the colors but it’s missing all the black.

8:15 PM EDT and still just the colorist’s layer.

They forgot the black ink.

When is GoComics going to get off their butts and fix this? It’s 10:34 AM ET and they STILL haven’t fixed this. :-(

I guess it was fixed from yesterday. I’m reading this @ 02:08 MST, 7-24-17.

Regarding the number of panels that are sometimes seen and sometimes not, I’m guessing that whoever distributes the Born Loser has some kind of deal with various papers selling them the expanded version (all the panels) or a ‘stripped’ down version (some of the panels). The extra panels really don’t do much to enhance the story, but, hey, if you can get a little more $$$ for a few more throw away panels, go for it. PS I noticed it first when I saw two different Sunday paper comics the same day, one with the very first panel missing, the other not. Sometimes I see that in the paper I now get, that the first panel is almost worthless, just a space filler. Eh.
