    I don’t want to go off on a rant here…but why is making food that originated in another culture a bad or “insensitive” thing? If you told me that people in France were eating hamburgers, I wouldn’t be offended. That’s how America became such a melting pot that welcomes all cultures! We eat food from all over the world! I know Wiley is taking this to the humorous extreme, but real “cultural appropriation” is when you take something from another culture and represent it as a stereotype of that culture, like “blackface”, “yellowface”, “ebonics”, clothing, costumes, etc.

    Oh, well, I guess anybody can take anything to an extreme, but it would be hard to convince me that preparing and serving tacos or biryani or rouladen is culturally insensitive.

    i was okay until you got to the ‘hot dish’as a minnesotan i would definitely be outraged if you made ‘hot dish’ for supper!!!!well at least if ‘some’ people were to make ‘hot dish’.others not so much. – just check out a potluck and you’ll know what i mean.
