Could you imagine if all this so-called “unsubstantiated evidence” of collusion with Russia was aimed at a Democrat, what the Republican politicians as well as those who consider themselves hard core Republican voters would be saying/yelling right now? The hypocrisy of the “Right” is just mind blowing…

No evidence: you investigate. Obstruction? He admitted to firing Comey to take the heat off. Obviously you haven’t heard yet about Don Jr. little trip to the Russians looking for dirt on Hillary. – https://www.nytimes.com/2017/07/09/us/politics/trump-russia-kushner-manafort.html?_r=0

So – how many Trump officials have to lie about meeting with Russian operatives before it’s considered a bit suspicious?

When has a US President ever worked so hard attacking the American intelligence community in order to defend America’s enemy?

And keep in mind that all of the stuff coming out is the tip of the iceberg. If this is what’s being discovered by the major news media, imagine what Mueller is looking at.

I doubt that Mueller hired all of those high-powered prosecutors for nothing. And I doubt they all put their lucrative careers on hold because they thought there was nothing.

Mr. Stanis should pick up a Biography or two on Thomas Jefferson and orher founding fathers’ who were adamant about the need for a free, unrestrained press: "The people are the only censors of their governors: and their errors will tend to keep these to the true principles of their institution. To punish these errors too severely would be to suppress the only safeguard to the public liberty. The way to prevent these irregular inter positions of the people is to give them full information of their affairs through the channel of the public papers, and to contrive that those papers should penetrate the whole mass of the people. The basis of our governments being the opinion of the people, the very first object should be to keep that right, and we’re it left to me to decide whether we should have a government without newspapers or newspapers without a government, I should not hesitate a moment to prefer the matter. "Thomas Jefferson

Stantis works for the media and is saying, “Trump is not guilty, because I don’t want him to be.”

Not sure why Stantis is defending Trump today other than he might hate the press more than the Donald, which is crazy. The news coming out of the whole Trump-Russia story gets worse by the day (including this morning) which makes the basis of this strip seem extremely foolish. Mueller isn’t just hiring more lawyers just to burn cash.

No administration has been as up to its eyeballs in Holy Mother Russia as this one. Everyone, in any office, and even trump’s relatives are in bed with Russians. And that’s just fine. But you remember how they screamed because Bernie Sanders went there after he got married? Or what they would say if any Democrat did 1% of this?

    The hypocrisy is mind-boggling !

I didn’t read Prickly during the 17 or so Benghazi hearings.

I’m guessing Stantis was every bit as adamant that there was ‘no evidence’ in those days, right?

Radish has the best comment thus far! Typical Republican rant – when things go south, blame the media, and Stantis has fallen in line with the rest of his party – even though he has stated disdain for the man at the head of his party!

It’s those dag nab pesky reporters that keep both Democrats and Republicans honest! Our problem now is, real news doesn’t make as much money as news mixed with (and sorted to support) opinion. Besides, we all get our news from opinion-filtered sources (Facebook, Twitter, Fox &c)…

Stantis needs to start using quotes and where they come from to support his position. Good luck in finding any.
