Fascinating article in Scientific American on face recognition. https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/how-we-save-face-researchers-crack-the-brains-facial-recognition-code/
On the doggie bag topic. There is a person (haven’t caught him/her in the act) who bags his/her dog’s business and tosses the bag in a little bush by our house. As much as you can get upset with people who don’t pick up after their dog, this one is a sociopath and a hypocrite.
Ever have anyone smile and wave in your direction, and you didn’t recognize them but you smiled and waved back just to be polite while desperately hoping you could remember where you knew them from, only to realize that they were aiming at someone behind you? Man, talk about feeling like a dope!
I have a corner lot, complete with a fire hydrant and a tree – doggie paradise – and 99% of the dog walkers in my neighborhood pick up after their dogs. However there was one gentleman(?) who never picked up after his Great Dane. Told me I couldn’t prove it was him. Put up a camera, caught his dog in the act. The neighborhood association fined him $500. Haven’t had a pile left in my yard since.

sometimes it can’t be helped. The leash is in the other hand. (yes, I’ve done this too and felt just as silly)

It’s OK as long as you don’t lose your grip.
