We use to tell our kids that we weren’t going to tell them when their birthday was so we wouldn’t have to buy them gifts. You better believe they knew exactly when it was and informed us quite often of the date.

He should have let Mom in on the joke first.

It was a great troll though! I love how he had Calvin going.

What’s the point of having kids, if you can’t mess with their minds a little?

Dad’s a real piece of work. And then he wonders where Calvin gets his twisted imagination!

Remember Dad, Calvin is going to be picking out your retirement home.

We pulled this prank on our little monster when he was the same age. We got the same reaction. (we were inspired by this cartoon)

A dad after my own heart. That’s why we have kids isn’t it?

Looks like dad is going to get a lump of cold in bed for a few nights.

I’m wondering what Dad is getting Mom this year for Christmas, perhaps a sense of humour?

Well, Mom has to deal with Calvin most of the time and Dad adding to the drama doesn’t help her mood(s). I like Dad’s sense of humour. Kids and pets are for playing around with … until you get scratched, bitten, or kicked.

I’m with you, Dad. You’re not going to keep him off the naughty list by encouraging him.

Mom usually saves that particular facial expression for Calvin.

Revenge of the Dad

The tree is supposed to be in the house, not in the garage! :O

Our tree is right next to me as I’m writing this comment. Presents underneath too! They are from our former next door neighbours. They send us presents every year and they really don’t have to. One of my presents is clearly perfume because of the rectangular shape. But in my opinion, a woman can never have enough perfume.

Little did they realize, only a few decades ago, that decorating for Christmas 2 weeks before the holiday would become 2-4 months in 2017. Perhaps we can do away with the solar calendar altogether and simply convert to the 12 months of Christmas…

Got a Christmas Tree yesterday.

Never get a tree, have no means of keeping it or affording it or decorating it. Though if I could find a very small one maybe…

One of my favs. And it’s not like Calvin didn’t deserve it – just think of all the mean things he’s done and said to poor Susie over the past year.

It seems very likely that Dad was much like Calvin as a child, and that Calvin gets it from him.

My old man used to say that if he caught Santa in the house, he’s shoot him.

Well dad…no soup for you!
