It reminds me of Grunkle Stans language from Gravity Falls. He would say crazy stuff like that when the kids were around. Although one time when they were not around he had just stubbed his toe and was all like, “Hot Belgian waffles!!! Wait, I’m alone, I can swear for real, SON OF A…..”

I still haven’t figured out, sixty years later, what I heard prancing on the roof over my bedroom on Christmas Eve in 1957. No swearing, but something was moving around up there!

Indeed—this cursing from Dad is … unique. It reminds me of one of my favorite “Calvin” strips of all time, too.
