Sadly, this is NOT that much of an exaggeration!

A very confusing age. Tell me about it.

At least with social media, you don’t need to worry about your appearance and you can walk out of the conversation without being awkward.

Sadly, this is dead on, and it’s why I stopped going to clubs. It’s rather hard to strike up a conversation with someone who won’t look up from his phone long enough for you to make eye contact with him, let alone say anything to him!

Sadly true. I am not a phone person, often I am the only one not on one. I am the lady reading the book or a magazine….real ones, not digital ones.

Time to make some REAL friends.

I didn’t know Facebook had added a proximity feature, where you could locate and Facebook those within the same room.

I don’t have any social media accounts. I have text features disabled on my phone and never ever use the phone for anything other than phone calls.

I control my time and the majority of my interactions with people instead of being ruled by the constant blather of insecure people who seem to require constant validation of their existence through meaningless typing between faceless “friends”.

I have a handful of people who really are friends and a larger circle of acquaintances. Our communications are meaningful, satisfying, and do not include pictures of our latest meal.

So much for smartphones, ya dumb dolts..

I don’t care what anybody says, Facebook can be a wonderful place for people to come together.
