as a catholic kid growing up, it always bothered me why someone would “choose” to be gay…to defy god but still suffer all the humiliation and torment that came with being a homosexual. then i grew up and realized that RELIGION in general, gave any BIGOT an excuse to demean and belittle those that are different or whom they misunderstand.
Yup. GT has a beautiful and deft way of depicting his characters. They let us see and think about the world differently, like any (other) great fiction.
This is going to be even more interesting when Dad has to explain how Andy miraculously survived the boating accident, only to be bitten by a disease-carrying mosquito when he reached the shore.

That’s a face that’s still wondering how to react to this.

This arc makes me see why D is considered such a great comic. At every single strip I want to cry while I’m laughing loudly.

At the very least, the story should have been about rescuing orphans and kittens from a burning building.

All’s well that ends well.

Andy is going to end well, soon enough. (Too soon?) I hope I’m not spoiling a 30-year-old strip for anyone.
