the vet always has this look in the eye that means, “I know you don’t want to hear this…and I don’t want to tell you either, but I must”

I don’t believe it’s possible to have a happy pet ending.

I do believe it’s possible to have happy pet/vet endings. We had a cat hit by a car and suffered a ruptured diaphragm. The cat was young. We paid for the operation and the cat lived about 12 yrs. more. We had an older cat (13) who had thyroid problems. We tried different meds until we found the right one and she is doing fine! She doesn’t like taking the meds :o) but they really work!

Can someone explain to a foreigner? When my cat needed an operation there weren’t any pamphlets.

They’re “how to train your dog properly” brochures.
