I’m happy about this, I never thought she did it. But her psyche may be permanently scarred. Seems like the pig has plans to get even, as do many wolves. The guy next to the spokesman for the jury, do you think he ever smiles? He seems to have one expression, somewhere between frown and confusion. His hair/quills give him a look of alarm too. I like him, he must have taken a lot of thought to create. Great job on all your critters Aaron!
Like TSOJ said. This is probably what was planned all along. Do the locals handle or they call in…….The Rats?? The emotional level of Endtown is just about to go thermal.Just what whoever is behind this wants to happen. I do think the Jury was nice to the prosecutor…….I have heard them called much worseXD.
ABOUT Yesterday’s Comments. I was going back a few days, looking for something and noticed how many comments were there. When I saw the strip there were only a few. Interesting comments! I agreed with some, disagreed with some and left a few comments of my own, even tho I don’t know if anyone else goes back to catch the last few comments.
I suppose if Miss Prosecutor is a complete and utter piece of whatever those symbols mean, that also means the wolves won’t be eating her anytime soon. Probably leave a bad taste in their mouths…
Heather Hoss is still on the losing end here, I figure.
Given the way feelings are running in Endtown, she hasn’t got a month before she’s dead, either by her own hand, or murdered, eaten and chucked into the river by whoever is behind the crisis that continues to burn beneath this hard-boiled (if brief) courtroom drama.
I fear for the safety of Heather’s lawyer. There will be outrage among the wolves and I wouldn’t be surprised, if he ends up being lynched for successfuly defending an alleged wolf-hater. It’s a classic story: A competent and perceptive, but otherwise weak character becomes the target of a vengeful mob, which doesn’t realise it’s taking vengeance on its saviour.
This is pretty concerning all around, particularly given that, while Heather was in an extremely poor state of mind and cannot entirely be blamed, she DID technically murder Lou Pines. We, the readers, know that Lou intended on killing her (or at least claimed to) but Heather did not. What was shown was Heather walking along, a wolf following, and Heather then hiding in the shadows and striking him in the back of the head with a brick before repeatedly crushing his head. Thankfully Lou was a piece of shit who had it coming, but it could have been any wolf and her reaction would’ve been the same.
I can see why Heather’s lawyer was so shattered about the discovery of the pig bones and what it spelled – he knew damn well how corrupt the system was, and what it spelled for his own kind. Now that Heather has literally gotten away with murder and everyone has been reminded of how wolves are apparently just vicious brutes that people must defend themselves against, I can only imagine there’ll be even more violence.
Well, cue the minority wolves rioting in the streets about the injustice of the legal system, reaching a pre-determined verdict that dismisses the value of their lives.

I just noticed the tic-tac-toe in panel 3, maybe they didn’t carefully deliberate after all.

Unanimous verdict with a wolf on the jury (see panel 2)? Interesting.

Why do I think the prosecutor got exactly what she wanted?
Shon Howell about 7 years ago
Well, no one said she was a particularly GOOD lawyer…

Heather is free to go…where? Wolves won’t leave her alone for long.

Next order of business… Reading the papers.

That verdict is nothing but hugs and kisses for Heather.

What? No cross by the defense? This seems like an extremely quick trial.

Is that judge a post-apocalyptic Mitch McConnell?

This whole thing might as well have gone
Judge: Prosecutor?
Prosecutor: She’s guilty
Judge: Defense?
Defense: She’s innocent.
Judge: Jurry?
Jurry: Not Guilty
Judge: Cool beans, drinks are on Ms. Piggy. Smacks gavel

Not sure of the integrity of this court, but Heather is actually innocent. There should never have been a trial.
