I have found that the amount of misinformation and fake news on the web requires a researcher to do more in the way of reasearch and critical thinking. When checking the weight of a given car engine I often find several different estimates and have to compare the information supporting the estimates and the context the number was given with (what equipment was installed when the engine was weighed). I may not always be confident in the results but I can usually get a decent handle on things.

Information Age and yet people want to listen to the lies spouted by the temporary president. We’re told fact based news is fake and lies spouted by the likes of Fox is truth. George Orwell was a man ahead of his time

Most people aren’t on the Internet or only stay with very few sources. The Right Wing has a whole constellation of (mis)information outlets.

Wonder what commenting here makes us?

The generation before this one (mine, lol) created tech that increased productivity. This generation created cat videos and distracted driving….
