Some people are able to think inside the box and work within the system, others are not. It’s just that simple. It’s more a lifestyle choice than a matter of privilege.
I do feel bad for my pooch on really cold or wet days. There IS newspaper on the back door mat in case of emergencies (middle of the night for instance) but he’d prefer to go out even if the weather is awful. My 3 cats, in this respect, have no problems!!!!

The cat doesn’t see it as privilege.

Cats deserve their privilege.

I was raised as an only pet…which explains the animosity from my litter mates…

A good swipe across the nose with unsheathed claws would shut this up in a hurry.

Only the cat has toys? All the dogs I know have many toys, albeit well chewed and holey.
