Wrong kind of dense Nancy.

The Dunce Caps appear to be upside down ice-cream cones, sans Ice Cream. This may put some dents in the dense students wearing the dunce caps.

Not that Nancy is entirely wrong, but she should probably be pointing towards City Hall.

Dunce caps were a natural extension of the use of stocks as humiliation style punishment. AND their use eliminated the need to clean up over-ripe vegetables. Sadly, shaming dumb kids has now been reduced to barely audible teacher comments such as “you can do better than an F” by teachers as they distribute graded tests.

If it was the 70s, they’d put them in pyramid hats and see if that made them any sharper.
