Again!

This must be the strip where Ernie has Nancy witnessing sluggo knock himself out!

And panel #4 is an appearance of Sluggo’s blank memory as empty background.

There is a delightful dance of diagonals along the base lines of panels, 1, 2, & 3.

It tells the readers that a joke’s punchline will appear in panel #3.

This reminds me of a pre-Comics Code horror story I once read, involving a shotgun trap in somebody’s cabin…

“The winner and new champion…Security Alarm!”

Dat hoit!

Nancy is borrowing $2.40 in 2020 money.

Dat was a rude awakening…

I attribute Sluggo’s forgetting about the “alarm” to the fact that he has triggered it many times in the past.

And the pig got up and slowly walked away.

I see they’re back on a calendar sequence again

Classy alarm.
