This has been as sharp a sequence as I’ve seen, except maybe for the ease with which Tracy was sapped.

Hope she doesn’t take him home, and he wakes up in a bed with his feet in a stock, and she’s standing over him with a sledge hammer…… now that would be goulish, oops. sorry Gould-ish

Tracy has a good memory. The last time he saw Rifle Ruby was in 1952,,,Oh, I forgot…we’re in the Tracyville time zone.

Methinks she had better alert the authorities pronto! I also think Tracy got a good glimpse of Sawtooth, if I remember right. Shouldn’t the Wrist-Wizard start transmitting now?

Well, they were out hunting, weren’t they? Looks like they found their quarry.

Bribery will be livid over the failed hit! “Get me another woman to push into traffic!” LOL

Saved by the bell! And I thought that was the end of the “Dick Tracy” comic strip!

I went back and checked over a week or so and Tracy did see Sawtooth face-to-face. That’s when Sawtooth told Tracy to wake up and Tracy mumbled to Sawtooth. I think Sawtooth’s days are numbered.

“After my recovery, Ruby was interviewed by Wendy Witchell, who ended the session with this odd exchange: WENDY: By the way, how long have you had the name of Rifle Ruby? RUBY: Oh, for years, although I was originally known as Ruby Red Dress. WENDY: How’d you get that name? RUBY: (pause) Oh, leave me alone… just leave me alone…” ( From The Memoirs of Dick Tracy )

Tracy probably is a little delirious from the cold and being tied rigidly, so Rifle Ruby, in her gruff but compassionate way, is right to help Tracy to her cabin and get him healthy before getting him back to downtown Tracyville. Warmth before a blazing fire, hot coffee with a dash of something stronger, and just some downtime will have Tracy soon enough chaffing at the bit to get after Sawtooth, whom he knows was his abductor. He can pre-set the chase via his Wrist Wizard, too….
