Grumpy no matter what?!?! Sure – a notoriously disruptive kid fires up a shop light in class halfway through the lesson, and it’s the teacher that’s the issue.
I sincerely believe the scientists and researchers who offer evidence of seasonal affective disorder, what we lay folk have been forever calling the Winter Blahs or Cabin Fever. I’m also convinced that they’re on to something with light therapy, with light provided ideally by the sun itself, but, when that’s not possible, with really bright artificial light.
And with or without that, as an artist I believe a little chiaroscuro now and then can’t hurt.

In my career as an electrician, shop lights were 4 foot fluorescent lights hung from the ceiling; what Caulfield has is what we called trouble lights.

In Dr. Who a very bright flash light caused a tiger to leave them alone.

You need a full spectrum bulb, Caulfield.
